What Is Taxorest?

According to PubMed, a 2009 review looks back on 35 years of Khavinson's work on peptide bioregulators. It describes the model behind the whole A-number line: short peptides may pair with the promoter sites of genes, the "start here" regions where protein building begins (PMID 19827673).
A 2012 paper from the same group explains how this may work. Short peptides can bind to matching sequences in DNA. That binding may help open the DNA strand so genes can be read and proteins can be made (PMID 22708439).
